The magic thought is not human it is animal
My cat makes me figure out that.
This is the story: My cat sees me enter in the toilets, the door remained half opened. To go to the bedroom (a forbidden place for it), it has to travel in front of the toilets. So my cat begins it travel and had a look in the toilets : I was there! So it immediatly stops et goes back.
In other words, it thought I have vanished of the toilets!
In other words, it has some kind of magic thought. In fact, this is not so suprising as many many things in its world appears to occurs magically.
What to conclude about that ?
That thinking that the things occurs by a sur-natural reason is not only a human specificity. We share that with animals.
Again, this is not so surprising. One of the major characteristics of human is its intelligence, its capacity to understand things, not to just accept it as occuring magically.
Conclusion
The magics thoughts, like God and religions, comes from our animal part, not from what characterize the most the humans. This is just the contrary of what Descartes told about the idea of God put in human brains.
