Luc Laforets, it's my name.

Born and living in France for half a century, I ‘m Software Architect since 2003. And a software developer since, say, 1987. Firstly as an hobbist, and time after time as a professionnal.

At first, I was an electrotechnic engineer. Working mainly on electric systems but also on mecanics and electronics. After that, I worked at Air France during several years on aircraft maintenance.

And finally, as I previously said, I changed my occupation for software developement and architecture. As a software architect, I have worked on many projects of different sizes, but often on large ones.

Luc Laforets
Sylvie_Luc I was also a startup creator in the early 2000's around the MDA and GUI code generation. Of course, I'm not successfull as some others, however this initiative gives me the chance to be now a well established independant worker.

So, with all these backgrounds, I think having a quite large of experiences in several fields to be able to initiate a wide critical analysis of the software industry.

And especially with all these ideas continuing to emerge in my head dispite my grand age 😉

But that is the purpose of this blog

PS : As you can see, I'm an idealist. If it was not, I would not initiate the Ideal Software Architecture blog ! I think humans need to participate in a project that exceed them. The kind of project where you could never be engaged in companies commercial, profitable, competitive.
